Alternate Avenues is a fully licensed medical clinic and 501c3 non-profit.  As the economy has worsened more and more women are finding themselves in circumstances where an unplanned pregnancy is truly considered a “crisis.” 

Just as God breathed life into Adam, new life has been given to our current programs.
Thanks to a recent grant women no longer need to suffer nor babies die because we did not have the finances to be open a full 40 hours per week .  

200 breaths was conceived as a way to raise the funds needed to upgrade our facility and equipment to be able to handle the anticipated increased patient load.
We are dedicated to providing excellent services and referrals 40 hours per week.  this is a increase of 520 hours a year.
The cost to our organization for doing this is about $30,000. 

Not many of us can afford a gift that large (if you can we’ll take it), but almost anyone can afford a gift of $13.80.    We chose the name 200 Breaths because that is how many breaths a typical newborn takes in it’s first 5 minutes of life.  We are attempting to reach our goal even if we have to do it 5 minutes at a time.  520 hours is a big number but 5 minutes is much easier to get your arms around.  $13.80 will cover the expenses of our clinic for 5 minutes.  If 12 of us commit to 5 minutes we will underwrite an hour and if that is done 260 times we will reach our goal. 

  In the extra 520 hours about 50 babies lives will spared from abortion.  50 moms will not make a decision they will regret, and 50 dads will have an opportunity to be real fathers. 150 lives changed next year.  Not to mention the future abortions the mothers are no longer likely to have.   That’s right if just 2,174 people give $13.80 we will reach our goal. 

Alternate Avenues provides specific medical services, resources, sexual integrity education and parenting education so that lives can be truly transformed.
